Sami Naimi : From Lebanon to the Emirates—A Journey of Passion, Dedication, and Action

How a Love for Sports and Action Films Led Sami Naimi to Break Records and Star in the Entertainment World

Sami Naimi, a 32-year-old native of Lebanon, has turned his passion for sports and action films into a remarkable career that spans gymnastics coaching, record-breaking achievements, and acting in action films. Now residing in the Emirates, Sami’s journey began with a deep admiration for action stars like Jean-Claude Van Damme. As a child, he spent countless hours mimicking Van Damme’s moves, trying flips and tricks on his bed, which often resulted in injuries. Yet, these early experiments with acrobatics sparked a lifelong passion for sports and action.

At 16, Sami began his formal training by entering a gym to lift weights, despite the absence of acrobatic training facilities in his area. His determination to master acrobatics led him to practice handstands and flips on his own after every weightlifting session. A year and a half into his journey, Sami met a professional acrobatics and martial arts coach, under whose guidance he refined his skills for a year. After his coach moved away, Sami continued his training solo, relying on YouTube tutorials and dedicating four hours each day to practice.

This relentless pursuit of perfection soon paid off. Sami became a renowned gymnastics coach, recognized across Lebanon. His expertise led him to work with theater production companies and appear in several high-profile advertisements, including the Arab Got Talent advertisement in 2017 and a collaboration with Lebanese singer Najwa Karam in 2012.

In 2019, Sami achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Lebanese to break the record for performing 50 consecutive backhand springs, a feat that gained him widespread recognition and appearances on numerous television stations.

The following year, Sami made the bold decision to move to Dubai, where he continued his career as a gymnastics coach. In 2021, he expanded his horizons by studying acting, which opened doors to numerous opportunities in action films. One of his notable appearances was on MBC’s “Stars on Board,” where he trained Lebanese actor Mirva El Kadi for an action scene. In addition to his acting career, Sami further enhanced his skills by training in Muay Thai in Thailand, solidifying his position as a versatile athlete and performer.

Sami Naimi’s journey from a young boy inspired by action movies to a record-breaking gymnastics coach and action film star is a testament to his unwavering dedication and passion. His story serves as an inspiration to many, showing that with determination and perseverance, dreams can indeed become a reality.
