H.H. Sheikh Hamdan has approved a number of intriguing new community projects in Hatta, the unofficial capital of Dubai's adventure sector.

In January of this year, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, greenlit a series of exciting new community projects in Hatta, the unofficial capital of Dubai’s adventure region. Among these developments is the highly anticipated ‘Hatta Beach’ project.

The Vision Behind’ Hatta Beach:’

Despite Hatta being a landlocked region, Dubai’s innovative spirit has once again overcome geographical limitations. The human-engineered ‘Hatta Beach,’ also known as the ‘Crystal Lagoon,’ will span a 10,000-square-meter area and be surrounded by an array of leisure facilities.

This development promises to be a perfect relaxation spot after a day of adventure activities such as wadi-hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and more.

Part of a Larger Master Plan:

Sheikh Hamdan’s visit to Hatta also included an update on other significant projects outlined in the Hatta Master Development Plan, initiated by H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Key Elements of the Hatta Master Plan:

The Master Plan includes a variety of environmentally conscious constructions and enhancements:

  • Hotels and Resorts: The plan calls for building more hotels and luxury resorts with minimal environmental impact.
  • Cable Cars and Waterfalls: A scenic cable car route over Hatta Dam and new waterfalls are being worked on.
  • Trails and Souqs: New hiking and biking trails and the development of Hatta Souq, which will feature 70 commercial units.
  • Heritage Sites: The restoration and enhancement of UNESCO World Heritage sites like Hatta tombs and Falaj Al Shari’a, which date back to the Bronze and Iron Ages.
  • Other Developments: Additional attractions are planned for Hatta Heritage Village, the development of the Leem Lake area, and the residential and commercial expansion of Hatta downtown.

Commitment to Enhancing Quality of Life:

Sheik Hamdan commented on these ambitious plans and emphasized the importance of addressing the aspirations and needs of Dubai’s people.

He stated, “Our development strategies and action projects are implemented by numerous teams that work as one team. Enhancing the quality of life of the people remains our top priority.”

These projects are a testament to Dubai’s ongoing commitment to innovation and improving the living standards of its residents and visitors.
