Australian-born actress, model, and former beauty queen Lucinda Nicholas has carved out a remarkable career across continents, languages, and industries. From her early win as Miss World South Australia at just 17, to appearing on some of the world’s most prestigious entertainment platforms, Lucinda is a true embodiment of grace, grit, and global stardom.
Lucinda’s entry into the film world was marked by her role as Jenna in the Australian feature film “The Tail Job,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016 and is now available on Amazon. She soon appeared as the lead actress in acclaimed music videos, including X Factor finalist Nathaniel Willemse’s “You’re Beautiful” and Watermat’s hit “Bullit”, which has amassed over 24 million views on YouTube.
Her artistic versatility found new ground in India, where she made her television debut in 2017 on Star Plus’ hit series Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, produced by the iconic Balaji Telefilms. Portraying an Austrian character fluent in both Hindi and English, Lucinda’s dedication saw her become nearly fluent in Hindi—a testament to her commitment to cross-cultural storytelling.
Lucinda’s Bollywood debut came with the 2017 comedy film “Guest Iin London,” where she played the Australian-English friend to the lead. Shot in both London and Mumbai, the film showcased Lucinda’s charm in an English-speaking role that connected East and West.
Her role in the Telugu-language South Indian film “Luckunnodu” followed, alongside star Machu Vishnu. Not only did she embrace a new language, but she also starred in a feature song sequence, further highlighting her multifaceted talent.
In September 2017, Lucinda stepped into the limelight on Bigg Boss, India’s version of Big Brother, hosted by superstar Salman Khan. As one of the few international participants—and only the second Australian after cricketer Andrew Symonds—Lucinda played a scripted role and navigated life in a house with no English dialogue allowed, capturing the hearts of millions over her 15-day stay on a show that draws up to 150 million viewers per episode.
She returned to the reality space in 2019 as a contestant on MTV’s intense and award-winning show Ace of Space, surviving an impressive 65 days out of 70. The show gave her the opportunity to showcase her yoga expertise, acting range, physical strength, and resilience under pressure, earning her immense fan love and national recognition.
In 2019, Lucinda relocated to the United Arab Emirates, quickly becoming a sought-after beauty model. She became the face of CBBC brands and frequently presented at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with her work broadcasted on Gulf News and Khaleej Times, and gracing DWTC billboards.
Lucinda’s editorial career has spanned HELLO! Magazine, GRAZIA, MAXIM Australia, FHM India, FEMINA India, Women’s Health Australia, and more. She has also appeared on the covers of the City Times UAE, South Australia’s Sunday Mail, and Grandeur Lifestyle India.
As a brand ambassador, she currently represents Ipanema Australia, leads campaigns for Gerard McCabe Jewelry, and appears in print ads for Novo Shoes Australia.
Beyond her performances, Lucinda has continually refined her craft. She trained at Actors Ink (2010), completed a television presenting course with Lisa McAskill (2013), earned her 200-hour Yoga Instructor Certificate in Byron Bay (2015), and underwent stunt and fight training in Los Angeles with Mission Impossible’s Daniel Locicero (2018). She was also awarded a scholarship to the New York Film Academy in early 2020 for an intensive acting program.
In 2021, Lucinda appeared in acclaimed projects like “The Stranger” with Joel Edgerton and “Stateless” featuring Cate Blanchett. Her presence in music continued with a lead role in Speed Records’ Punjabi hit “Ladgi Kamaal” in 2022 and again in Tarsem Kamb’s sequel song “Neat Lagake.”
Lucinda’s experience as a foreign actress in India was featured on the BBC documentary series “Bollywood: The World’s Biggest Film Industry,” offering audiences in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand a glimpse into her cross-cultural journey.
With over 100,000 social media followers, Lucinda’s influence continues to grow as she partners with leading international and national brands, inspiring fans through her world-spanning work and passion.
Lucinda Nicholas isn’t just a name across credits—she’s a cultural bridge, a fearless performer, and a testament to what happens when talent meets tenacity on a global stage.
