The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has announced a three-day holiday for public sector employees next month.
According to the official circular issued by the DGHR, all government entities, departments, and institutions across the emirate will observe a holiday on Friday, September 5, 2025, in line with the occasion being marked. The extended weekend means work will resume on Monday, September 8, 2025.
The announcement ensures that public sector employees in Dubai will have a long weekend to rest, spend time with family, and take part in celebrations across the UAE.
Dubai’s leadership continues to prioritise employee well-being and work-life balance by aligning official holidays across sectors, reinforcing the emirate’s commitment to cultural values and social harmony.
