President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates is set to begin an official visit to Russia on Thursday, where he will hold key talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the UAE’s state news agency, WAM.

The high-level discussions will center on enhancing bilateral economic ties, with a particular focus on trade, investment, energy cooperation, and other sectors critical to mutual growth and strategic partnership. The visit underscores the UAE’s commitment to deepening its international relations and fostering global dialogue on regional and geopolitical developments.

The leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional security issues and broader international dynamics, reflecting the UAE’s growing role as a diplomatic bridge in global affairs.

This diplomatic engagement comes as the UAE continues to strengthen its global economic footprint and pursue a balanced foreign policy that emphasizes constructive engagement across a range of strategic partners.

President Sheikh Mohamed’s visit also follows his recent move to bolster internal resilience by establishing the National Anti-Narcotics Authority, signaling a dual focus on both domestic progress and international cooperation.
