Audi has unveiled a new trim for its e-Tron lineup, the RS GT Performance. This trim promises to deliver a staggering 680 kW of power, equivalent to 912 horsepower, making it the most powerful production Audi ever made.

Trim Options

The e-Tron lineup now features three formidable trims:

  • S e-Tron GT: Offers a robust 671 horsepower.
  • RS e-Tron GT: Packs an impressive 844 horsepower.
  • RS e-Tron GT Performance: The pinnacle of power with 912 horsepower.

The RS GT Performance trim is currently available for order in Europe, with details for the US market yet to be announced.

Enhanced Features:

Lighter and More Efficient

  • Battery Pack: The new lighter battery pack reduces the car’s weight by 19.8 pounds and offers a net capacity of 97 kWh, an upgrade from the previous 83.7 kWh.
  • Regenerative Braking: Updated to handle a peak of 400 kW.

Unique Driving Experience:

  • Boost and RS Buttons: The RS models feature two red thumb buttons – “Boost” for a 10-second, 94-horsepower surge and “RS” for customizable driving modes.

Aesthetic and Design

  • Exterior: The design tweaks include a body-color strip above the “Singleframe” grill and a 3D honeycomb front, reminiscent of Audi’s gas-operated vehicles. The low profile, striking headlights, and sharp taillights retain the classic Audi DNA.
  • Wheels: The S and RS models come with a 20-inch wheel design, with an optional 21-inch wheel inspired by the AVUS Quattro.

Charging Capabilities:

  • Peak Recharging Rates: Now at 320 kW, allowing 174 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
  • Quick Charge: Under optimal conditions, from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

Interior and Comfort:

  • Steering Wheel and Seats: A flat-bottom steering wheel, 14-way power-adjustable seats, and an option for a leather-free interior. The RS e-Tron offers 18-way adjustable massaging seats.
  • Suspension: Standard two-chamber, two-valve adjustable air suspension for a smoother ride and reduced body roll. The suspension can also be raised by 2.16 inches to avoid scrapes.
  • Sunroof: An optional feature that transitions from opaque to fine at the push of a button.

Pricing:

In Europe, the Audi e-Tron GT starts at $134,889. US pricing details are forthcoming, but the current entry-level e-Tron GT in the US is priced at $108,590.

Audi’s new RS GT Performance trim promises a thrilling blend of power, design, and innovative features, reinforcing its position as a leader in the electric vehicle market.
