Abu Dhabi Showdown Week 2024 is set to deliver a thrilling lineup of events, with the UAE capital confirmed to host the highly anticipated Power Slap competition.
As the brainchild of UFC boss Dana White, Power Slap will make its international debut at the Space 42 arena in Al Raha on Thursday, October 24.
Power Slap 9: A Clash of Legends:
The main event at Power Slap 9 will feature a clash of titans as reigning Super Heavyweight Champion Da Crazy Hawaiian, boasting a 15-1 record (including 13 KOs), defends his title against top-ranked contender Vasilii “Dumpling” Kamotskii. This showdown highlights Abu Dhabi’s growing reputation as a hub for world-class sporting events.
As part of the broader UFC Showdown Week festivities, global pop sensation Backstreet Boys will take the stage at the Etihad Arena on Wednesday, October 23. UFC 308: A Stacked Fight Card:
Abu Dhabi will also host UFC 308 at the Etihad Arena on October 26. The event will feature a blockbuster featherweight title fight between champion Ilia Topuria and second-ranked Max Holloway. In the co-main event, third-ranked Robert Whittaker will face off against Khamzat Chimaev, representing the UAE, in a five-round contest.
