Dubai Mall has officially transitioned to a paid parking system, partnering with the toll gate provider Salik. First announced in December 2023, this move introduces charges for parking spaces and utilizes Salik’s technology for a barrier-free parking experience.
Automated Fee Collection:
Salik’s system enables automatic fee collection through vehicle plate recognition, deducting fees from users’ Salik accounts. This ticketless parking system aims to streamline the process for mall visitors.

These charges apply to Grand parking, Cinema parking, and Fashion parking. Zabeel and Fountain Views parking areas will remain free for now.
Certain groups are exempt from these charges, including people of determination, public service providers, and valet drop-offs.
Sustainable Mobility Solution:
Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO and board member of Salik, stated that this initiative aims to provide sustainable and smart mobility solutions. The system is designed to minimize congestion and traffic by eliminating the need for gates or barriers at Dubai Mall.
Implementation and User Integration:
With over 2 million registered active Salik accounts and 4 million active vehicles, the integration is seamless for existing users, requiring no additional apps or payment machines. Salik developed the new parking management system, while Dubai Mall handled local infrastructure, office space, and car park maintenance.
The success of this initiative may lead to its expansion to other locations around the city, enhancing the overall parking experience in Dubai.
