Dubai’s skincare enthusiasts are well-acquainted with Skin Laundry, an American-born brand renowned for its advanced skin science and technology. This acclaimed skin clinic has been a favorite in Dubai for years, and now residents of the capital can enjoy its state-of-the-art services with the opening of Skin Laundry Abu Dhabi.
The Space:
Located on the Al Qana waterfront, the clinic offers a prime, serene location ideal for unwinding and pampering oneself. The clinic’s design aligns with its soothing theme and message, featuring a clean, bright, minimalist, and airy space adorned with white, wood, and sunny corners. From the moment you arrive, the ambiance sets the tone for your visit, promising a recharge, revitalization, and transformation of your skin.
Upon arriving for my appointment on a hot morning, I felt an immediate sense of relaxation as soon as I stepped inside. The air conditioning played a part, but the light and visually pleasing interiors significantly contributed to the calming atmosphere.
The Ultimate Glow Facial:
I was booked for the Ultimate Glow Facial, which includes their signature YAG Laser, followed by a HydraFacial, priced at Dhs1,450. Before beginning the treatment, I had a quick consultation with the dermatologist, who recommended a post-facial course of action. This consultation is part of an exclusive service at the Abu Dhabi outpost called Skin Laundry+, which offers a variety of treatments, including HIFU, RF microneedling, skin boosters, botox, fillers, and lasers and facials.
Following a brief vital signs check, we proceeded to the facial room. The process was relaxing—ideal for lying down and possibly falling asleep. However, my aesthetician explained each step carefully. The laser pen was slightly painful, resembling tiny needle pricks, but it was bearable and lasted for about 10 minutes over five rounds.
The HydraFacial comprised five steps: lymphatic drainage, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and calming LED blue and red light therapy. Each step utilized high-end tools, including the extraction process, which I found much more comfortable than manual extraction, often tear-inducing. Generally, the treatment was either pain-free or minimally painful, making it an excellent option for those seeking a laidback experience with impressive results.
Post-Treatment Care:
Post-facial, there is essentially no downtime. You just need to follow standard precautions—avoid washing your face for three hours, stay out of direct sunlight, and apply sun protection. Results are nearly instant, leaving you with a healthy glow that continues to develop over time.

My experience at Skin Laundry was delightful and welcoming. I would certainly return. The staff was wonderful, courteous, and quick to answer any process questions. The services are scientifically grounded and based on the anatomy of the skin, ensuring effective results.
