The Palestinian Chilean Singer Takes Center Stage, Honoring Her Roots with a Powerful Performance Alongside International Stars
DUBAI: Palestinian Chilean singer Elyanna made a remarkable debut on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, captivating audiences as she joined forces with Coldplay to perform their new song, “We Pray.” Following her performance, Elyanna celebrated the milestone on Instagram by sharing behind-the-scenes footage of the backstage rehearsals recorded just minutes before she took the stage.
In an electrifying collaboration, Elyanna was joined on stage by Argentine singer and actress Tini, who is also featured on the track. This live performance comes shortly after Elyanna released her own Arabic-language version of “We Pray” on September 20, showcasing her commitment to honoring her heritage through music.
Coldplay, during the same appearance, also performed their new track “All My Love” from their recently released album, Moon Music. Elyanna’s performance is part of an exciting trajectory for the 22-year-old artist, who recently appeared at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, where she showcased the same empowering song.
Elyanna expressed her excitement about the performance on Instagram, stating, “I’m still in awe of last night! Sharing this moment with all these amazing artists on @coldplay’s stage felt so wholesome. I sang ‘We Pray’ in Arabic, I sang for hope and most importantly for my hometown Palestine.”
Looking ahead, Elyanna is set to perform live with Coldplay again during their upcoming shows in Abu Dhabi as part of the “Music of the Spheres World Tour.” The band is scheduled to perform at Zayed Sports City Stadium on January 9, 11, 12, and 14, 2025, marking a highly anticipated event for fans in the UAE capital.
