Raise your glasses, Dubai—BrewDog is opening its first craft beer bar in the city by the end of the year. This is just the beginning, as the renowned Scottish brewer plans to launch eight bars across Dubai over the next five years.
The inaugural BrewDog bar will be situated on Bluewaters Island, taking over the location formerly occupied by The London Project, which closed earlier this year after a five-year run.
BrewDog is celebrated for its high-quality beers, including the record-breaking Strength in Numbers, the world’s strongest beer at 57.8% ABV.
The brewery is known for its quirky branding, creative beer names like Elvis Juice, Hazy Jane, and Wingman, and notable collaborations with brands such as British supermarket Aldi, sustainable coffee brand Grind, and Domino’s Pizza.
BrewDog has over 100 bars worldwide and boasts three craft beer hotels—DogHouse Manchester, DogHouse Edinburgh, and Aberdeen Kennels—five international breweries from Australia to Ohio and five outposts with on-site microbreweries.
While the BrewDog Bluewaters location will not feature a microbrewery, the brand’s dog-friendly ethos remains strong. It offers K9 water stations, dog menus with ‘beer’ and Punk IPA biscuits, dog-friendly sorbet, and a Paws of Fame wall.
James Brown, CEO of BrewDog bars, expressed excitement about partnering with local operator Rise Hospitality to bring BrewDog to Dubai.
“Our mission is to make as many other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are, so we eagerly look forward to opening the doors to new bars across the city in the coming years””
BrewDog Bluewaters is set to open in Q4 2024. Follow @brewdogofficial for updates.
