If you’re looking to start holiday planning, here’s the complete checklist of school holidays for the rest of the 2023-2024 school year and the 2024-2025 academic year.

It is worth noting that schools are allowed some flexibility with the calendar provided they complete the minimum count of school days (188 days for the Ministry of Education (MoE) curriculum and 182 days for international curriculum).

Dubai Private Schools Starting Academic Year in September:

• End of Academic Year 2023-2024: June 28, 2024 (not before this date)
• Start of 2024-2025 Academic Year: August 26, 2024
• Winter Break 2024-2025: December 16, 2024 to January 6, 2025
• Spring Break 2025: March 24, 2025 to April 7, 2025
• End of Academic Year 2024-2025: June 27, 2025 (not before this date)

Dubai Private Schools Starting Academic Year in April:

• End of Academic Year 2023-2024: Schools can close any day between March 1 to March 31, 2024
• Start of Academic Year 2024-2025: April 1, 2024
• Summer Break 2024: July 4 to August 26, 2024
• Winter Break 2024-2025: December 16, 2024 to January 3, 2025

Upcoming Public Holiday in the UAE:

The next public holiday will be the UAE National Day festival, now called Union Day. According to the UAE Cabinet resolution, the private and public sectors will appreciate a two-day holiday to mark the event on December 2 and 3, which are Mondays and Tuesdays. This means that there will be a four-day weekend for those who have weekends off.
