Following a tantalizing teaser earlier this year, the longest-running American musical on Broadway will perform at the Etihad Arena from September 12 to 22.
What is Chicago The Musical About?
Chicago The Musical is celebrated for its longevity and acclaim, having won six Tony Awards, two Oliviers, and a Grammy.
The musical is set in the 1920s and follows the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who kills her lover when he threatens to leave her.
To avoid conviction, Roxie hires Chicago’s most cunning lawyer to manipulate the public, the media, and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, turning her crime into sensational headlines.
