Abdu Rozik Cancels Wedding with Emirati Fiancee Due to Cultural Differences

Social Media Icon Abdu Rozik Ends Engagement with Emirati Fiancee, Citing Challenges of Cultural Differences and Personal Authenticity

The Social Media Star and Internet Sensation Prioritizes Authenticity and Future Happiness Amidst Personal Challenges

Abdu Rozik, the internationally known Tajik internet star and former contestant on “Bigg Boss,” has announced the cancellation of his upcoming wedding to Amira, a 19-year-old Emirati from Sharjah. The couple, who became engaged in April 2024, had initially planned to tie the knot on July 7. However, the wedding was postponed to accommodate Rozik’s boxing match against Erali Boyqobilov at the Coca-Cola Arena, and has now been officially called off.

In a statement to Khaleej Times, Rozik, who stands at three feet tall and has gained prominence through his viral singing and MMA bouts, cited “cultural differences” as the primary reason for the decision. “I am sad to announce that I have cancelled my wedding,” Rozik said. “As our relationship progressed, we encountered some cultural differences that ultimately influenced this decision. I am recognised as a person of determination, and this brings challenges in everyday life. It requires a partner who is mentally resilient and strong enough to navigate that journey.”

Rozik, 20, known for his remarkable rise from modest beginnings—singing in a local bazaar in Tajikistan with earnings of less than Dh2 a day—to achieving fame and a significant following of over 8.2 million on Instagram, emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself. “I owe much of my success to embracing who I am. I am forever grateful for my health and for the support of all of you who helped me become who I am today,” he shared.

Despite the emotional impact of calling off the wedding, Rozik remains optimistic about his future. “I trust that love will find me again when the time is right,” he added, expressing gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support.

Rozik’s relationship with Amira began in February, when they met at Cipriani Dolci in Dubai Mall. His journey from a struggling artist to a celebrated social media influencer highlights his resilience and dedication, qualities he continues to embody as he navigates this personal setback.
