Dubai once again proved that the sky is not the limit—but just the beginning. During the closing ceremony of the 29th edition of the Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse, the city shattered expectations and a Guinness World Record with an awe-inspiring drone performance that lit up the night sky.
A breathtaking 5,983 drones took flight in a meticulously choreographed aerial display, forming the largest flying LED screen ever created by multirotor drones. The result was a luminous marvel of light and motion that captivated an audience of over 60,000 spectators.
The drones painted vivid 3D formations high above the racecourse, paying tribute to the nation’s leadership with spectacular portraits of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Each formation glowed with national pride, precision, and innovation—hallmarks of the UAE’s global image.
